First, let’s address this weekend’s weather..AMAZING! Jo & I spent the majority of the weekend outdoors in this beautiful cool weather. It’s starting to feel like FALL and I’m pumped about it.

Maroon lips are definitely my Fall ‘go to’. I know I know, we still have over a week until it’s Fall, but I’m breaking the rules and starting early. And nothing says Fall transition like black & white stripes and maroon lips. Have I said Fall enough yet? 😉 This look would also be sweet with some black booties and a top knot.

“Paris, here we come!” Or at least that’s how I felt in this preppy ensemble. 😉 We visited the Houston Galleria for a short weekend trip, and of course we had to make a stop at the wonderful Urban Outfitters. I spotted this corduroy mini as soon as I walked through the doors. I had one similar to this when I was a little girl. It’s fun watching style come full circle through the years with a few updates mixed in. I also love this look with a flat bootie and the neck tie as a head band for a more casual feel.

Less than a month until Fall is upon us, yay! I’m already seeing little pumpkin decorations everywhere, and I love it! What fall trends are you guys most excited for?!

Denim on denim all day, everyday. This is the first time I actually tried out this look, and I felt like I had just stepped out of a Levi’s commercial from the 90’s, and I loved it! I started this look out with white sneakers, but decided I would rather dress it up a bit. I attempted pairing this top with several pairs of denim shorts, but none of them were having the right ring for me. The shades of the denim most definitely make a difference with the double denim look.

Gianni Bini has officially won my heart with their shoes. Every pair I picked up in Dillard’s that I liked were GB. Also snagged a pair on sale for $32; I call that a win. (:

We have been in the midst of receiving all of our pieces for our collaboration for next week. If you guys can’t tell, we are excited about it!

This week’s post was supposed to be something a little different, but we had to postpone that until next week; have no fear!

As much as I love summer, I seem to always do my early bird preparing for the next season to come. It’s no secret that I have a slight flannel obsession. I’ve already started stocking up on some of my favorites (despite the fact that it’s still 105 degrees outside). They’re such a versatile piece; throw them around your waist while it’s hot, and slip them over a casual top when the weather cools off.

T r a v e l i n g  is definitely something Jo and I talk about often. After experiencing our first vacation as a married couple, we were hooked. Next stop, who knows, but we will be sure to bring you guys along with us!

DRESS & SHOES K-SERA

NOLA sure did treat us right. Jo, my mom-in-love, and some peeps from our church took off last week and headed to New Orleans for The Outcry Tour concert.  To say it was an incredible experience would most certainly be an understatement. All of God’s people gathered together in one place, worshiping Him, is one of the best feelings in the world.

Of course, while we were in NOLA, we had to adventure! We had our very first visit to the most magical place in the world, Urban Outfitters. We also explored all of the French Quarter, including the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral. I did so in this super cute/ casual shirt dress (worn with a white jumpsuit, but can also be worn with shorts) & fringe sandals. This dress was quite appropriate for exploring the town, seeing that it was 110 degrees (or it at least felt that way).  I look forward to also sporting this dress in the fall with a cardigan and some booties.
