Living in this babydoll top all summer long. The weather is definitely heating up here in West Monroe, Louisiana (100 degrees today) & this adorable top has me dressing the part. For me, light weight & flowy are ideal for the summer heat. Pair it with some cut offs for a more casual, edgy look or dress it up with denim pants (I think I would sweat to death in pants at these temps).

Also totally loving the fun, monochromatic tie-dye print of this top. American Eagle literally has summer covered, from your dressy date night looks to your casual beach hangouts, you’ll always be set!

This top gives me all of the good feels. Embroidered tops are definitely among some of my favorites this season. It would also be super cute paired with white denim; however, I think I would have melted here in West Monroe if I would have tried that. It just keeps getting hotter & hotter. Definitely time to pile up by the pool & relax.

P.S. I wore a white bandeau under this top, the color on the top is actually more ivory than pure white.

Lulu’s has been killing it with their summer game. This dress is making me want to live in maxis all summer long. Added some pops of turquoise with the layered necklace and cuff bracelet, some of my favorites! Also, if you haven’t noticed, I’ve been on quite a hat kick lately, and this one is still my #1. Any big summer plans for anyone out there? Jo & I will be visiting MiraMar beach in August, and we are trying to decide if you want to travel to St. John next year or save for a house, hmm decisions, decisions 😉

The Carnival Liberty spoiled me and took me on an amazing adventure! This was my very first cruise, and if you have never been, I would most definitely recommend it. Our ship traveled to Cozumel & Progresso, Mexico. There are so many different, fun events that take place all throughout the day on the ship, and fun excursions off of it when you’re docked at your locations. The best part? Free food all day everyday! Ooo lala. My favorite part had to be spending the day in Cozumel, Mexico. I had never been out of the Country, and this place was just gorgeous. We laid out and played in the water all day, and for lunch, real Mexican chicken quesadillas. YUM. We also went to 2 comedy shows, a 70s sing & dance show, an 80’s sing along (I think the whole ship attended, that was fun), layed out, took a trip down the water slide, watched a movie outdoors on the big screen, ate, and then ate some more. Did I mention the food was free? 😉 The cruise was absolutely amazing and such an incredible experience.

Getting back to reality is always tough, but I was SO excited to see my Jojo when I got off of the ship. I missed my best friend! We’ve spend some great time together, and tomorrow is an exciting day or Jo..he starts his first big boy job! Whoah, time needs to slow down. Exciting things ahead!

Today was a trademark day; Jojo graduated college and is officially an Accountant! Helloooo grown up world. Excited to see what the future holds.

Hope everyone had a blessed Mother’s Day! We spent great time with our families by the pool, stuffing our faces (cookie cake, YES) and making great memories. I wore this super adorable outfit in our local fashion show a couple of weeks ago and fell in love. Flare jeans are definitely making a come back, and crop tops have always been one of my favorites. Crochet is also a super big trend this season. Slowly breaking out my summer gear, and I couldn’t be more pumped.
